چکیده

In this paper an approach for automatic aerotriangulation (AAT) is presented, which is designed for frame and three-line imagery. We will focus on the extraction of conjugate points, because the geometric differences in geometry of frame and three-line imagery can be considered as well-known and are only different modules at the implementation stage. Our approach uses point features and a coarse-to-fine strategy based on image pyramids. To extract conjugate points we employ feature-based matching of image pairs on all pyramid levels. After matching all overlapping pairs of images, manifold conjugate point tuples are generated and checked for geometric consistency individually as well as in their local neighborhood. Subsequently, the exterior orientation parameters for the whole block are calculated on each pyramid level in a robust bundle adjustment together with 3D-coordinates for the conjugate point tuples in an arbitrary reference system. This information serves as initial values on the next lower pyramid level. Control information is not necessary a priori, but can be introduced at any stage of processing. The approach has been tested with various imagery. A few hundred well distributed conjugate points were extracted in all cases. In particular, a large number of many-ray points, which are essential for a stable block geometry was detected. The standard deviation of all image coordinates lies between 0,3 and 0,4 pixels. These results constitute a proof-of-concept and demonstrate the feasibility of the presented approach.

Calibration of Directly Measured Position and Attitude by Aerotriangulation of Three–line Airborne Imagery

The registration and geometric rectification of airborne scanner imagery is a prerequisite for the processing and analysis of this type of images. Within the paper the geometric processing of scanner imagery acquired from the Digital Photogrammetric Assembly (DPA), which is an airborne camera consisting of three pan–chromatic line arrays for stereo imaging and four line arrays for multi–spectra...

Aspects of Automatic Aerotriangulation

Digital images are the basis of digital photogrammetry. They allow the application of automated measurement procedures. In aerotriangulation one of the core tasks is measuring in images. The organisation of the work flow determines the efficiency of aerotriangulation. It is an advantage of digital photogrammetry that all procedural steps can be performed on the computer. Automated measurement p...

Accuracy improvement of Best Scanline Search Algorithms for Object to Image Transformation of Linear Pushbroom Imagery

Unlike the frame type images, back-projection of ground points onto the 2D image space is not a straightforward process for the linear pushbroom imagery. In this type of images, best scanline search problem complicates image processing using Collinearity equation from computational point of view in order to achieve reliable exterior orientation parameters. In recent years, new best scanline sea...

Accuracy of Automated Aerotriangulation and Dtm Generation for Low Textured Imagery

The Nasca-Project at ETH Zurich aims for a GIS-based analysis of the topography and the geoglyphs carved into the ground by the ancient Nasca (200 B.C. – 600 A.C.) in the desert region of Nasca/Palpa, about 500 km south-east of Lima, Peru. In 1998, three blocks of aerial images have been acquired during a photoflight. Two of these blocks (about 400 images, scale 1:7.500) were processed using an...
